This Foundation will be called the Helen Sports Foundation and will be specific to the island of St. Lucia.
We are looking to improve the lot of that island's sports persons by investing in them. We do so by getting the citizens to participate in contributing to a Foundation that will ensure that these sports persons have access to most if not all the opportunities that could assist them to be the best they can be.
To do this, we are looking at different aspects of funding such as
Membership: by contributions to the Foundation from individuals, businesses, companies, the Diaspora, high-net-worth individuals and international organizations
Merchandise: sale of a number of the Helen Sports Foundation branded items to members and non-members
Raffles: of luxury cars, land, airline tickets and hotel stays
Events: gala banquets, music concerts, sporting events, coaching clinics
Auctions: of sporting memorabilia of famous local sports achievers
The funds collected will ensure that the athletes have access to
Better coaching, training, and scouting
Education opportunities for athletes, coaches, officials and administrators
Equipment and uniforms
Access to medical resources and the necessary nutritional supplements
Access to regional and international meetings, travelling, accommodation, meals, allowances
Improvement of facilities
As a result of being well cared for and therefore with peace of mind, we expect the athletes to dive headlong into their chosen sport and look towards personal and team improvements. Any success these athletes achieve will redound to the benefit of the country in many ways, especially so in the area of country recognition since these countries are heavily dependent on tourism. Simply, the more the country’s name is repeated, the more people all over the world are likely to know about it.
While this is a project for St. Lucia, we are committed to enlisting more countries into similar National Sports Foundations. We are already in talks with three other countries and we are positive that we will soon be representing them. By engaging more countries, we would be able to make significant savings on the cost of freight of merchandise as we would be able to consolidate the different countries’ order to one depot before distribution to the respective countries.
Within two years we intend to become one of if not the leading sports marketing company in the region so that our investors can be assured of continued business for a long time.
