The proposed H2o Zone Water Park, which is a large
proposed water park on land located one property away from the Regional Mall in
George in the Southern Cape, there are no such attractions at present in
George. The property has been Rezoned to facilitate the project and
R.O.D has been issued on 4 November 2017. The park offers considerable
benefits to the Southern Cape as well as Tourist trade that it will attract to
George and the surrounding area.

DESCRIPTION: The “H2O Zone Family Water Park”
A quality water park in the George area of
the Southern Cape of South Africa, and will offer six other adventure
activities which are designed to attract people to the site throughout the
year.
The second adventure activity : Quad Zone which offers clients a
series of Quad Bike Trails.
The third adventure activity : Zip Zone,
zip line tree top canopy trail which is planned for the beautiful natural
forest and spring at the bottom of the property.
Phase 2 in year 3 the construction of a
large two storey building to house the following :
The fourth adventure activity : Bounce Zone offers clients a world
class indoor trampoline park.
The fifth adventure activity : Climb Zone
offers a professional climbing wall
The sixth adventure activity : Kart Zone
offers clients high performance Go karts.
The seventh
activity : Game Zone
offering a Lan and Networking area for Gamers
The park has been designed to create a
quality adventure experience for families and customers of all ages. The
location serves the entire Southern Cape Area and will concentrate on creating
a memorable day for families, individuals, corporations, businesses, schools
and special interest groups.
The “H2O
Zone Family Water Park” and it’s initial associated attractions “Quad Zone” and
“Zip Zone “will offer its
customers an attractive, economical and fun-filled facility for their
entertainment and enjoyment. The water park will provide both passive
entertainment (lounging and floating) while the pro-active more aerobic
customer will receive an exhilarating experience from climbing the hills that
service the waterslides and swimming in the pools as well as the opportunity to
experience the thrill of riding quads and the serenity of zip lining through
the forest canopy.

It is anticipated
that there will be approximately 150 jobs during the construction phase of the
project and it is expected that there will be 30 full time adventure park
employees supplemented by 60 to 90 seasonal positions
BENEFICIARIES:
Furthermore the H2O
Zone Family Water park will utilise local contractors to maintain and service
the park. This includes: contract for solar power installations / contracts for
security fencing, / contract for the installation of and monitoring of facility
wide security cameras / removal of Solid Waste and Liquid Waste/
Contracts to construct the buildings and lay out the park will be awarded to
local builders / kitchen and provide food and beverages for 500 to 3000 people
per day / Building material contracts to the value of R5,000,000 / Professional
Services Contracts
SKILLS REQUIRED AND AVAILABLE: There will comprehensive training on Life Saving
Skills; this will include a basic medical course as well as training in
hospitality, business management and client service
